A black and white portrait of Rifleman Oliver Gibson Scott (23264) of Ferndale. A farmer prior to enlisting, Oliver arrived in the United Kingdom on the 27th of July 1916, where he was posted to the 1st battalion, 3rd New Zealand Rifle Brigade. By the end of September he was on the front lines of the Western front.
