Description

Tea cosy cover; made from cream cotton in a semi circular shape featuring orange variegated crochet edging and shades of tan flowers in a design on both sides. It was hand made by Miss Bessie McGowan. Bessie was one of 6 daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McGowan of Gowan Brae, Mataura. Because of ill health, needlework was her life's interest, and she was encouraged by her family to enter her work in many different shows
