Artist not identified. Shows a head and shoulders three-quarter miniature portrait of General Charles Emilius Gold, KCB. He is likely in his later years, as his hair and moustache are white, but his age is unknown. He wears his red military jacket, gold and red sash, and medal Inscription on the back of the portrait reads: 'General Charles Emilius Gold, KBC. Born 6th Jan 1809. Married 1st June 1838 at Drummondville, Canada, Eleanor Felicia Askin Geddes
