The soils of Sigatoka Agricultural Research Station, Viti Levu, Fiji, have been mapped at a scale of 1:3000, and described and classified according to USDA Soil Taxonomy (Soil Survey Staff 1975). Thirteen soil series have been identified. The major part of the Station consists of moderately dissected hill country on which Lithic Haplustolls and Oxic Haplustalfs are used for pasture, fertiliser and stock trials.
