This shirt was worn by Leo Hope-Ede, who started as an inside forward for the Metro College Club before he represented New Zealand on the Association Football Pacific Tour in 1951 and again in 1952, playing a total of 12 games. This number 12 shirt was worn by Leo on the 1951 tour. They were not then called the All Whites because like most New Zealand teams, their uniform was a black shirt.
