Description

Silver official medal of Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. This medal is one of nearly 28,000 silver medals of this size struck for the occasion.   The obverse of the medal depicts the ‘old head’ Queen Victoria, with the legend “VICTORIA ANNVM REGINI SEXAGESIMVM FELICITER CLAVDIT XX IVN MDCCCXCVII”.
