Description

Statue of Seyit Ali Cabuk, known as Corporal Seyit, a Turkish soldier who carried several heavy shells to his cannon when the loading crane was damaged during the British-French naval attack of 18 Mar 1915. The statue, erected in 1992, is by the fort at Kiltbahir Castle, Gallipoli Peninsula, opposite Canakkale on the Dardanelles.
