Description

A man lying down under a blanket amongst a large quantity of bedding in a meeting house. He is leaning against a poutokomanawa (central carved post) depicting a male figure with moko (facial tattoo) in a waistcoat and tie. A korowai (cloak decorated with hukahuka, black tags) is draped around the carving.
