Description

The teaching card is about receiving a letter from the postman. On one side of the card are numbered questions and on the other is a list of words to use in the answers. The aim of the card was to teach grammar and the composition of sentences to pupils. The card originally belonged to Margaret Rona Gillies who was a teacher at Turiroa Primary School, Wairoa in 1928 - 1930. On the back is written the names of the children who took the cards home at night for their English homework.
