scrimshaw whale tooth Made from wale tooth an ink. The tooth has an oval base/opening and a rounded tip. Carved into both sides of the teeth are images of human figures in black ink. On one side of the tooth is a child wearing a fur-trimmed cape, black flats. The child is standings on steps. On the other side depicts a girl or woman wearing dress with short sleeves and V-shaped bodice trimming with multi-layered skirt, she is also standing on steps
