Description

58th Foot (Rutlandshire) other ranks brass shoulder-belt plate. The oblong plate shoulder-plate bears the number 58 within a circular garter, crowned and inscribed 'RUTLANDSHIRE'. Below the garter is a reclining 'sphinx' on a plinth inscribed 'EGYPT'. Eight radiating arms sit amongst a field of raised dots in the shape of an eight pointed star.
