whisk for the tea ceremony hollow bamboo stalk forming short handle (45mm long), multitudinous prongs formed by splitting of bamboo and held in place by weaving of thread through prongs, two circular rows of prongs formed, one in centre of whisk, with prong ends joined at top, surrounded by second row, shaped to curve gently outwards and turn in at top, both rows of prongs dyed orange 40mm from top, spoon (scoop) long curving back with short upturned end forming `bowl'
