- Description
Bold patterns in black and white with some brown. Patterned in two panels with wide black band between them. Taunamu, barkcloth room divider with stencilled pattern. Bouma village, Taveuni Island. This large taunamu was made on the order of the Tui Cakau by the women of Bouma village. It was ceremonially presented to Lady Lala Mara, the wife of the then Prime Minister of Fiji, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, at a meeting of the Great Council of Chiefs in 1985.
