Description

The old septic tank system at Awapuni is seen here in a derelict state, soon after being closed down in 1968. There is little growth of vegetation inside the empty tanks indicating that the date is about 1969. These septic tanks were constructed by Mr D. Burke (contractor) and at the time were the largest outside of England.
