Backgrounds, describes and analyses a unique potmark identified on a ceramic vessel acquired by Lt. Col. F. Waite in Egypt during the early 20th century, now held in the Auckland War Memorial Museum Tamaki Paenga Hira. Notes that potmarks are found on ceramic vessels from the Predynastic and Early Dynastic periods of Egypt and that this previously unrecognised potmark has no direct parallel in existing corpora.
