Printed in greyscale in the ‘Leader’ on November 21, 1994, after his death. Born in Petone in 1930; dux of Randwick School, then college in Petone. Third generation of his family to work in Woburn railway workshops; later worked in the Dunlop tyre factory, and as a brake specialist at Contour Brakes in Lower Hutt.
