Description

Printed in colour in the 'Leader' on March 6, 1995. The Cosgroves had bought the 370 acres in the Akatarawa Valley in 1980. At this stage they were listing some 2500 rhododendrons,100 flowering cherries and 12 000 daffodils, interspersed with about 20 large pieces of sculpture. They were proposing to open each year from September to mid-autumn.
