On August 19 1965 Mr G Reynolds was killed when the car he was driving collided with a stationary train at the Harvey Street level crossing in Omakau. The train was in the process of changing engines when at 10.35pm Mr Reynolds car drove into the 3rd carriage of the train. The lighting at the level crossing had been fair and signage was in place...
