Description

John Reynolds believes World War I to be ‘unknowable’ to later generations. His print evolved from reading New Zealand military history and Richard Flanagan’s novel Narrow Road to the Deep North, about Allied prisoners of war in Burma (now Myanmar). A haiku by Japanese poet Issa floats over a ‘kimono fabric’ of motifs.
