One of four photographs that shows a parade of soldiers in The Square, Palmerston North. This group is shown marching past the PDC. The donor of the photographs did not know what the duties of this group were, but they appear to be in the uniform of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force. The man at the front of the group is Lt Michael Joseph Philpott who was held back from service abroad during the war because he was a married man with young children.
