One of four photographs that shows a parade of soldiers in The Square, Palmerston North. This group is shown marching just down from the PDC building. Lt Michael Joseph Philpott is marching on the far right in the first row of three men (obscured). He was held back from service abroad during the war because he was a married man with young children.
