Description

Showing the first vessel to berth at Picton's then recently completed ferro-concrete Wharf, Marlborough, at the head of Queen Charlotte Sound, the big turret-steamer Clan Grant. The wharf was built by the Governtment Railway Department, at the cost of £40,000. It is 620ft in length, and is said to be one of the finest south of the line.
