Description

New Zealand exporters frequently complain of a lack of facilities for the handling of frozen meat and other commodities at the London docks, as compared with the system of unloading adopted in the West of England ports. It is stated that at least 20 per cent of the meat unloaded at London sustained the same damage. Quite unprotected from the weather: New Zealand meat and flax being loaded into barges at London for carriage to the markets.
