Description

A girls' marching team making its way down Queen Street as part of the Cavalcade of Progress to mark the opening of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. The five mile long parade included horse-drawn drays, buggies and carts alongside their modern equivalents, travelling from Newmarket through the city and Ponsonby across the bridge and to the centre of Devonport. The Auckland Town Hall and Mutual Life building can be seen in the background.
