Description

Visitors to the Hermitage Hotel in the Mount Cook National Park looking through a powerful pair of Japanese binoculars captured in the Pacific during World War 2 and presented to the Hermitage by the RNZAF. The binoculars are mounted on an artificial terrace rock pedestal. Mount Blackburn in the distance.
