Description

Looking south along Pollen Street Thames, between Sealey and Mary Streets, showing (left) the Bank of New South Wales (opened November 1925) and the Thames Post Office under construction. The foundation stone was laid on 24 June 1937 and it was officially opened by the Postmaster General (Hon Frederick Jones) on 28 January 1938. One of the many art deco buildings constructed in Thames around this time.
