Description

Murray and Janine Alexanders' autistic son Steven had never been violent. However, 18 months ago a change in his school and his medication triggered a journey into hell for the entire family. With no other help available, Murray and Janine were forced to have Steven removed from their home by police and committed to Waitakere’s secure mental health unit. Months of legal wrangling ensued to have Steven placed in suitable accommodation. Now he’s ready to come home. Murray and Janine are not alone
