All images taken at the Dowse Art Gallery, Lower Hutt. Frames 3 to 9 show 2 Māori (Bruce Stewart, frames 3 to 8, and possibly Don Selwyn, frame 8) setting up a hangi in the grounds of the Art Gallery. They have dug a deep hole and are lowering a large crate into it, with steaming stones visible. A family group watching proceedings includes Jim Moriarty (frame 11).
