Description

All frames taken at the opening of the Pipitea Marae on 31st May 1980. They show close-up views of Māori attending the opening. An older woman (kuia) wearing a piupiu (flax skirt) under a kahu kiwi (cloak adorned with kiwi feathers) is seen in frames 4 to 8. She is also wearing a large hei tiki (visible in frame 8).
