The outing was to the Arthur's Pass National Park, at the Waimakariri headwaters. Dividing into several small parties members of the Canterbury Mountaineering Club recently climbed Mounts Harper, Murchison, Davie, Carrington, Armstrong, Gizeh (first ascent), Rolleston Traverse (first traverse from Waimakariri to Arthur's Pass), and Rosamund.
