Description

Two images taken on March 9th 1931 when London experienced the worst snowstorm in the season so far, with over two inches of snow falling in an hour and a half. On the left: A sentry at the Tower of London On the right: Water from fire hoses formed icicles on the outside of a burning building on the waterfront. The fire took 2 days to put out and over 1000 fireman were involved in fighting the fire.
