Description

In a swamp situated near Wellsford extensive use of the spear indicated an abundance of large kauri gum nuggets at a depth of 10 feet. On the left - The land being systematically trenched to the level of the deposits then on the right diggers were able to locate the gum by turning over the mud in the bottom of the trench.
