Photographs taken on the Harper River, at the head of Lake Coleridge where the river has been diverted into the Lake. The diversion carried out in connection with the Lake Coleridge Hydroelectric power scheme which provided power to Christchurch and district. Left: Crossing the Harper River on the swing bridge. Right: At the dam which diverts the river into the lake.
