Description

Lilies and hydrangeas made a magnificent picture at the wedding reception of the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Dr. Harold Gengoult Smith and Miss Cynthia Brookes, daughter of Mr. Norman Brookes, the former Australian Davis Cup tennis player and Mrs Brookes. The brilliant decorations and the beautiful frocks of the bride and the bridesmaids helped to make the most magnificent scene the hall has witnessed. The photograph shows the wedding party rising to drink the toast of the Bride's parents.
