Description

On the right of the old photograph of Dee Street is the Prince of Wales Hotel, where the Grand Hotel now stands. The Club Hotel is on the left and Sloan's Theatre in the centre. The whole block of buildings seen in the early photograph of Tay Street was destroyed by fire in 1865. Upper: Dee Street in 1868; Second tier: Dee Street in 1935; Third tier: Tay Street in 1881; Lower: Tay Street in 1935.
