Description

The 19th century cheese factory controlled by the New Zealand Co-Operative Dairy Company, Limited was officially opened at Ngatea in the presence of a large gathering. The factory has accommodation for eight vats, but in the meantime has been fitted with six vats, which have a capacity of 500 tons of cheese a year. UPPER: A view of the factory during the opening.
