Description

Unknown as yet but probably planted by the NZ Forest Service in 1950s or '60s. Long, scale-like leaves that are round, not flat. No sign of cones. Branches droop, and leaves hang down. Similar to rimu, Manoao colensoi or Huon pine but doesnt match any of them. Possibly Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Imbricata Pendula', as suggested by Derek Spicer of the American Conifer Society, 18 June 2018
