This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 2 April 1956: "Palmerston North played Paraparaumu Beach and Hastings in the Central Districts amateur roller hockey tournament at Memorial Park last Saturday (March 31). Hastings scored an outright win when they came through the five games without loss. The second place were Paraparaumu Beach, with Palmerston North third"
