Description

Kiwi was noted running out of slash close to trees ready to be pulled in with a hauler. Breaker out sighted the bird and contacted the hauler driver to stop the operation. Crew foreman contacted Management company and Kiwi Management Staff. The bird was located with trained kiwi dog and moved out of harms way. The bird was weighed and had a transmitter attached before releasing. This made a total of 10 birds in the 11ha Pine block, that had transmitters attached.
