Showing the fantail section of the painting. Mural painted by Chris Wilkie on the side of the A and P Show Building at 15 Dent Street, Whangarei. Originally commissioned by the Whangarei Community Arts Council to depict Northland, Chris spent over a year (between 1984 1985) painting the original portion, which featured more than 50 Northlanders. In 1990 he added more scenes, such as a waka at Waitangi. The building was demolished in November 2004.
