Kiringāua (14) was born with Spina Bifida. Although he is only in year 10, he is Titirei (part of the Kapa Haka leadership team) and is also a kaikokiri/facilitator for an after-school children's programme run through He Waka Kotuia. He teaches Māori traditional arts, including Kapa Haka, Mau rakau and Māori games.
