Description

Home is a series of twenty brooches carved from beef bone by Jason Hall in 2004. Each brooch, backed with a sterling-silver finding (or clasp), reproduces a fence paling seen by Hall in the course of his travels around New Zealand. Carved in miniature, Hall skilfully evokes the timber of the original fences through the grain and flaws of the bone.
