Frontage of Oaklands Shopping Complex at No. 67 Hurstmere Road. Oaklands was opened on the 25th November 1970. Designed by Takapuna architect Neville Price of Price, Adams, Dodd Partnership with an area of 46,000 sq. ft. and containing the first escalators to be installed on the North Shore.See North Shore Times Advertiser 24/11/1970, pages 22-27 for details of opening.
