Description

Looking south east across the Browns Bay tennis courts towards Rangitoto, showing the Browns Bay wharf (right). The Browns Bay Tennis Club moved from Manly Esplanade to its current location in Freyberg Park in 1966. It was redeveloped to include squash in 1978 and became the Browns Bay Racquets Club. The land on the Esplanade was sold for housing.
