Demolition of Forester's Hall, eastern side of Hinemoa Street, Birkenhead. Historical note: The Forester's Hall was built in 1911. In 1912 Henry Hayward showed black and white movies at the hall.(Birkenhead was the second suburb in Auckland to show movies). Foresters Hall was the venue for patriotic concerts and dances during war time. During the influenza epidemic of 1918, the hall housed an inhalation chamber.
