The Zion Hill Methodist Church and Sunday School , located at the intersection of Onewa and Birkenhead Avenue. The larger ornate, wooden church (1885) features vestry, wooden buttresses and lancet windows. The smaller less ornate 1880 church was modified in 1902 as a Sunday School. Historical note: The original Zion Church was completed in 1880 and built by Charlie Johnston and designed by a local resident, Francis Hammond.
