Description

Tents, buildings and water-tank tower at Browns Bay Motor Camp. Historical note: The camping ground was bordered by Taiaotea Stream, Anzac and Clyde Roads and in 2015 is occupied by Countdown supermarket. Originally the site of the Brown family homestead, the McDermott family purchased the land in 1938 after the depression for 700 pounds.
