Description

Most of the pines at the end of Northcote Point (planted in 1909) have now been felled in preparateion for construction to begin on the bridge's northern anchorage. The pines were formerly a prominent harbour landmark for ferry passengers. View is southeast towards Tank Farm (right)and the Auckland wharves.
