Marine Suburbs bus, Birkenhead. Historical note: The Marine Suburbs Bus Company was formerly known as the Birkenhead Motor Bus and Transit Company, and its headquarters were in Onewa Road. The service began in 1915 and was managed by Mr Tom Smith. For the first three months it was a horse bus service and then the horses were replaced by a fleet of motor vehicles.
