The Albany Post Office on the Oteha Valley Road junction. Historical note: The first Lucas Creek Post Office was built at the Upper Landing on the 'Station' in 1858. It's name changed from Lucas Creek to Albany in December 1890. The post office moved with the rebuilding of the Albany hotel until 1923 when the building depicted in this photo was brought from Waimauku by motor truck.
